NEWARK - Here’s a numerical look at the game between the Canadiens and the Devils at the Prudential Center on Thursday night.

306 – Number of days that have elapsed since Scott Gomez last played a game against his old team, the Devils, after missing both match-ups in 2011-12 to date sidelined with an injury.

39 – Total number of goals scored by the opposition on both the Canadiens and the Devils – the two top teams in the NHL on the penalty kill.

236 – Total number of games missed by Canadiens’ players over the course of the 2010-11 season, a number that they unfortuntately just surpassed having missed 239 man-games this year.

100 – Number of games played by David Desharnais in the NHL – all of them in a Canadiens’ jersey, with the young forward having played his first game in the league back on Nov. 25, 2009 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

1 – Number of goals scored by David Desharnais with his face this season, as the sophomore center beat Martin Brodeur after Rene Bourque banked a shot in off his kisser for Desharnais’ 10th of the year.

9:23 – Amount of time needed by Louis Leblanc to make his mark on the scoresheet in his first game back with the Habs, with the rookie center assisting on Andrei Kostitsyn’s first period marker for his sixth point in the NHL.
