by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

ST. LOUIS - Here's a numerical look at the Canadiens-Blues game at the Scottrade Center on Thursday night.

1,015 – Number of days since the Canadiens were last in St. Louis for a game against the Blues, dating back to a March 10, 2011 tilt in the Gateway City.

8 – Consecutive number of games in which the Canadiens have yet to score a first-period goal, getting on the board in the opening frame just once in the past 10 games.

5 – Consecutive number of times the Habs have been on the losing side of a game against the Blues, dropping five-straight games to St. Louis, their longest losing streak against any one NHL team.

4 – Number of times the Canadiens have allowed three or more goals in a single period in 2013-14, with the Blues following in the footsteps of the Kings, Devils and Avalanche on Thursday night.

4 – Number of Habs players who have dipped into double digits in goal scoring this season, with Brendan Gallagher joining Max Pacioretty, Tomas Plekanec and Alex Galchenyuk on that list by opening the scoring for the Canadiens in the second period.

6 – Number of NHL teams David Desharnais has yet to pick up a point against so far in his career following his inaugural assist against the Blues on Gallagher’s opening goal.

12 – Number of NHL teams Gallagher has yet to score against in his young career, crossing the Blues off his rapidly-diminishing list on Thursday night in his first ever game in St. Louis.

5 – Number of hits dished out by Douglas Murray in the outing, bringing his season total to 62, just one short of Lars Eller for the team lead.
