by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

UNIONDALE - Here's a numerical look at the Canadiens-Islanders game on Saturday night.

2:01 – Time elapsed in the first period of Saturday night’s tilt before George Parros made his presence felt by dropping the gloves with Islanders forward Eric Boulton. The pair went toe-to-toe near center ice to set the tone early on in the opening frame.

6 – Number of fights George Parros has taken part in thus far this season in nine games played for the Canadiens during the 2013-14 campaign. The Washington, PA native’s latest scrap ties him with Brandon Prust for the team lead in that particular category.

63 – Percentage of draws won by Tomas Plekanec on Saturday night against Islanders centermen. One of the league’s most consistent players in the face-off circle, Plekanec won 16 of the 23 draws he took on the night.

23– Number of shots blocked by the Canadiens on Saturday night against the Islanders, preventing multiple scoring opportunities on goaltender Carey Price. P.K. Subban topped the Canadiens in that category against Jack Capuano’s squad with five blocks on the night.

3 – Number of hits dished out by Lars Eller on Saturday night, upping his team-leading total to 60 on the year in 34 games played. The Dane led the Canadiens in that category on the night.

523 – Approximate number of Habs jerseys that could be seen in the stands of Nassau Coliseum on Saturday night, as many fans of the bleu-blanc-rouge braved bad weather to come out to support their team in Uniondale.
