42 – Number of points registered by Canadiens players with Brendan Gallagher, Lars Eller and P.K. Subban torching the Lightning for five points each.

94 – Number of saves made by Carey Price over the course of the series, enabling the three-time All-Star to compile a sharp 2.33 GAA in four starts against head coach Jon Cooper’s contingent.

The Bulldozer

22 – Number of shots taken by power forward Rene Bourque while averaging 15 minutes of ice time per game in the series. One of those shots proved to be the game-winning goal in Game 2 in Tampa.

69 – Number of blocked shots amassed by the Canadiens with defenseman Alexei Emelin leading the way in that category (16), three clear of fellow rearguard Andrei Markov.

1 – Number of fights in the series, the lone tussle involving Brandon Prust and Lightning defenseman Radko Gudas during Game 2 in Tampa. It was the second time Prust has dropped the gloves in the postseason during his NHL career.

11 – Number of seconds that elapsed in Game 3 before Rene Bourque scored and sent the Bell Centre faithful into a frenzy. The Lac La Biche, AB native came within four seconds of matching Bob Gainey’s record for the fastest goal to start a playoff game in franchise history established back in 1977.

18:08 – Amount of overtime contested in the series with Game 1 coming to a close on a goal by Dale Weise. The Winnipeg native was the beneficiary of a perfect feed from Daniel Briere from behind the Lightning net to register his first career NHL playoff snipe.

2 – Number of times Ginette Reno sang O Canada at the Bell Centre, drawing a roaring response from those in attendance as the Quebec songstress set the stage for two memorable nights, both of which ended with Habs victories.

In a word - WOW!

12 – Number of times players on both teams combined to light the lamp at the Bell Centre, seven times by the Canadiens. Brendan Gallagher accounted for two of those goals, while Rene Bourque, Tomas Plekanec, Daniel Briere, Lars Eller and Max Pacioretty also triggered the playing of the Habs’ goal song with one tally each on home ice.

14 – Numbers of times players on both teams combined to light the lamp at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, nine times by the Canadiens, including a pair of goals from Rene Bourque in Game 2.

27:24 – Average ice time per game logged by Andrei Markov during the series, leading all other players on the Canadiens. The 35-year-old rearguard contributed 13 blocks and seven hits in four games against the Lightning.

32.8 – Number of shifts per game on average amassed by Josh Gorges during the series, tops among all Canadiens players in that category and one more than reigning Norris Trophy winner, P.K. Subban, who sits second at 31.8.
