The Montreal Canadiens release their 2012-13 regular season schedule

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens and the NHL Saturday released the schedule for the 2012-13 season. The Canadiens will open the season at the Bell Centre, facing the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, January 19.

The Canadiens’ regular season will end on Saturday, April 27 against the Maple Leafs, in Toronto, wrapping up a 48-game schedule over 99 days.

The Canadiens will play two matinee games at home during the traditional Super Bowl Weekend on Saturday, February 2 versus the Buffalo Sabres (2 p.m.) and Sunday, February 3 against the Ottawa Senators (2 p.m.).

The Canadiens will face two of their division rivals (Toronto and Buffalo) five times (10 games), and the other two division opponents (Ottawa and Boston) four times (8 games). Three games will be played against each of the other 10 teams from the Eastern Conference (30 games).

All Canadiens regular season games will be broadcast on RDS-HD, Cogeco Diffusion (98.5 FM) and TSN Radio 690.
