MONTREAL - Canadiens fans are invited to attend a special pre-game player salute in Place des Canadiens outside the Bell Centre on Tuesday, October 10, ahead of the team's home opener against the Blackhawks.

RDS will broadcast the network's pre-game show live from the plaza, Ford will provide free face painting and a chance to win tickets for Habs games, Canadiens alumni will be available for signature a session with fans, and a DJ and mascot Youppi! will be present to entertain the crowd beginning at 3:45 p.m.

Then, for the first time prior to a home opener, Habs players will greet the crowd in a special "pre-game salute", which is set to take place between 4:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday night.

As always, the home opener promises to be a memorable event, and ticket holders for the game are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:20 p.m. to ensure they don't miss any of the pre-game ceremony.
