Situation Room: Couture's goal confirmed after review

The Montreal Canadiens challenge Logan Couture's goal due to potential goalie interference, but after video review, the goal is confirmed

  • 02:39 •

At 13:24 of the second period in the Candiens/Sharks game, Montreal requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether San Jose interfered with goaltender Carey Price prior to Logan Couture's goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Referee confirmed no goaltender interference infractions occurred.

Therefore the original call stands - good goal San Jose Sharks.

Since the Coach's Challenge did not result in the original call being overturned, the Montreal Canadiens forfeit their time-out.
