An unknown commodity upon his arrival to the NHL, Mark Streit has since put not only himself but also his native Switzerland on the hockey map. Here's a numerical look back at the breakout season that was for the versatile defenseman.

62- Points collected by Streit in 2007-08, setting a new NHL record for Swiss players. The Englisberg native surpassed Mark Hardy’s mark of 53 points set with the Kings back in 1984-85.

3-Rank among NHL blue line point leaders in 2007-08, with Streit trailing only Detroit’s Nicklas Lidstrom (70) and the Penguins’ Sergei Gonchar (65).
