MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens announced details today surrounding the team's annual Red vs. White scrimmage, including special outdoor programming and a player presentation following the game.
Ahead of the team's Monday preseason opener against the Bruins in Quebec City, fans will have the chance to see the Canadiens in person at the Bell Centre on the afternoon of Sunday, September 17 for an intrasquad Red vs. White scrimmage. Puck drop for the scrimmage is slated for 1:00 p.m., but family-friendly activations and programming leading up to the scrimmage will take place outside the Bell Centre in Place des Canadiens beginning at 10:00 a.m., including music, face painting, and games.
Following the scrimmage, fans are invited to Place des Canadiens for a special presentation, where members of the 2017-18 squad will be introduced to the crowd at 3:45 p.m.
Tickets for the scrimmage are available at participating Canadian Tire locations in the Greater Montreal area by making a $10 donation to the Jumpstart Foundation for a pair of tickets, or for $5 per single ticket via canadiens.com. All attendees will also receive a free trio (hot dog, a bag of chips, and a soft drink or bottle of water) upon their arrival in the building.
