MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens announce that Scott Mellanby resigned from his role as assistant general manager today.

Mellanby was promoted to assistant general manager during the summer of 2014, after having initially joined the Canadiens as director of player personnel in May 2012.
The organization would like to thank Scott for his contributions to the team during his time with the Canadiens. The team will not comment further at this time.
