Rookie Camp - Day 2

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

After a grueling opening day of camp which saw over forty Canadiens prospects put their physical skills to the test, the majority of the Habs’ hopefuls were back out on the Bell Sports Complex ice on Saturday for Day 2 of rookie camp in Brossard.

Notably absent from the morning session were Stefan Fournier and Dalton Thrower, both nursing injuries, while first-round draft pick from this year’s NHL Entry Draft, Nikita Scherbak, was sidelined with the flu.

On the facility’s second surface, the Habs’ veterans held a similar workout to Friday’s, with a number of players from other NHL teams joining the on-ice training for a morning skate which lasted just over an hour.
