The Habs play the first of two final games before the All-Star break on Tuesday, when the Calgary Flames visit the Bell Centre.

Tuesday marks the first meeting between Montreal and Calgary in 2016-17, after both teams each split the season series on away ice a year ago.

Michel Therrien has already confirmed that Alex Galchenyuk will not be in uniform against the Flames, after re-aggravating a knee injury on Saturday which had previously sidelined him for 18 games over the past month and a half. During practice on Monday, Brian Flynn replaced Galchenyuk on a line with Sven Andrighetto and Andrew Shaw, while Daniel Carr filled in for Flynn with Jacob de la Rose and Torrey Mitchell. Therrien however confirmed that Galchenyuk's status is day-to-day.

Carey Price will be back in goal after stopping 35 of 38 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres over the weekend.

The Flames meanwhile were in action in Toronto on Monday night, and are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Maple Leafs - a third consecutive loss for the Albertan club.

Johnny Gaudreau for his part should be in uniform to face the Habs after taking a solid hit on Monday at the Air Canada Centre. The American forward got the green light after passing the NHL's concussion protocol.

After giving Brian Elliott the start on Monday, Calgary coach Glen Gulutzan will go with Chad Johnson in goal on Tuesday. The latter is 1-2-0 with a 4.24 goals against average in five career games against Montreal.
