MONTREAL -- The Canadiens are looking to bounce back from a disappointing shutout loss earlier in the week.

TICKETS: Predators @ Canadiens
Here's everything you need to know heading into the game:
1.Head coach Martin St-Louis wasn't pleased with his team's performance against the Kraken on Monday night, and with good reason. The Habs were down 3-0 after 20 minutes and were ultimately blanked 4-0 by Seattle. Goaltender Martin Jones made 21 saves to earn the shutout. Sam Montembeault made 37 saves for the Canadiens, who were coming off a 5-4 win over the Blues last Saturday but have lost eight of their last nine games (1-7-1). Cayden Primeau backed up Montembeault after he was recalled from the AHL's Laval Rocket on an emergency basis. Jake Allen is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Shortly before Wednesday's practice, forward Jesse Ylonen was recalled from Laval. He has yet to play for the Canadiens this season, but has been enjoying a solid AHL campaign, collecting 27 points (8 goals, 19 assists) in 34 appearances with Jean-François Houle's contingent.
Meanwhile, Christian Dvorak is set to play the 400th game of his NHL career. The bulk of those games came when he was still a member of the Arizona Coyotes before being acquired by the CH in September 2021.
2. One of the team's most electrifying players in recent memory will be honored prior to the game against the Predators as part of a "P.K. Subban Homecoming" tribute at the Bell Centre. Subban, who announced his retirement in September via Instagram, made his mark both on and off the ice during his seven seasons in Montreal. Beyond the walls of the rink, the 2013 Norris Trophy winner's impact within the community through the P.K. Subban Foundation, and with the Montreal Children's Hospital in particular, helped cement his undeniable legacy in the city. As a salute to the former defenseman, 20,000 P.K. big heads will be distributed to fans upon arrival.

3. The Predators' four-game winning streak was snapped on Wednesday night with a 2-1 loss to the Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena. Mitch Marner scored with 1:15 remaining in the third period to put Toronto over the top. Goaltender Juuse Saros made 33 saves for the visitors. Despite the defeat, Nashville is still playing good hockey as of late. John Hynes' squad is 5-1-1 in their past seven games. The always dangerous Filip Forsberg leads the group with 17 goals and 37 points on the year. Roman Josi ranks second in scoring with 32 points, while Matt Duchene sits third with 31 points.
4. This is the second and final regular-season meeting between the two teams. The Predators posted a 6-3 victory on Jan. 3 at Bridgestone Arena. Cole Caufield, Josh Anderson and Brendan Gallagher scored in the loss, while Montembeault made 28 saves.
