Preview 16 dec

The Canadiens and Senators will meet under the lights - outdoors - on Saturday night at Lansdowne Park, squaring off in the 2017 Scotiabank NHL100 Classic.

Players and spectators alike will have to bundle up with temperatures expected to be in the -20 Celsius range come puck drop.
The Canadiens will be taking part in their fourth outdoor game. They were victorious in Edmonton in 2003 and in Boston in 2016, but came up short in Calgary in 2011.
Carey Price will be making his 10th consecutive start. It will mark his first outdoor game appearance since 2011. He missed the Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium nearly two years ago with an injury.
The Senators will counter with Craig Anderson in between the pipes.
The Canadiens will try to build on their 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night at the Bell Centre. After giving up the game's opening goal early in the contest, Andrew Shaw tied things up and Tomas Plekanec scored the decisive marker in overtime, beating goaltender Cory Schneider in the extra frame. The win upped the Canadiens' record to 6-2-2 in their last 10 outings.

For their part, the Senators snapped a five-game losing streak on Wednesday night when they edged the New York Rangers by a score of 3-2 at the Canadian Tire Centre. Guy Boucher's squad has been struggling as of late, having won just two of their last 10 games and just five of their 15 games on home turf so far this season.
Ottawa will be playing in its second outdoor game. They bested the Vancouver Canucks in the 2014 Heritage Classic at BC Place.
Claude Julien's troops, meanwhile, have already beaten the Senators twice during the 2017-18 campaign and are going in search of their sixth straight win over their Atlantic Division rivals.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on CBC, Rogers Sportsnet and TVA Sports, as well as on TSN 690 and 98,5 fm.
