Canadiens Sabres

BUF (18-18-9) @ MTL (28-13-6)
Less than 24 hours after leaving New Jersey with a win on Friday night, the Habs will host the visiting Buffalo Sabres at the Bell Centre on Saturday.

With the 3-1 win against the Devils, the Habs snapped a short two-game losing streak, courtesy of power play goals from Alex Galchenyuk, Shea Weber, and Max Pacioretty.

Goaltender Al Montoya for his part stopped 16 of the 17 shots he faced, in his fourth consecutive win in as many starts, while Galchenyuk - who also added a pair of assists - enjoyed his first three-point outing of the season.

The Sabres were also in action on Friday, and are coming off a 3-2 win against Detroit. Sam Reinhart, Ryan O'Reilly and Kyle Okposo were the Buffalo goalscorers, while Anders Nilsson was beaten only twice on 34 Red Wings shots.

Saturday's game is the second meeting this season between Buffalo and Montreal. On Oct. 13, the Canadiens opened their current campaign with a 4-1 win at the KeyBank Center.

Michel Therrien has already confirmed that Carey Price will get the start in goal. The All-Star netminder - who did not face the Sabres earlier this season - holds a 13-11-0-7 record against his Western New York rivals. At the other end of the ice, Robin Lehner will get the start in goal for Buffalo.
