MONTREAL - The Canadiens and Senators will play their first of two preseason games against one another on Saturday in the Canadian capital.
Claude Julien's troops are still looking for their first preseason win after suffering their third loss of the exhibition calendar on Thursday, falling 4-1 to the New Jersey Devils.
Veterans Tomas Plekanec, Karl Alzner and Jordie Benn will be making the trip to Ottawa. As well, training camp standout Charles Hudon, who scored a goal in his first preseason game against the Capitals on Wednesday, will be in the lineup.
In nets, Al Montoya and Zachary Fucale will be suiting up for the visitors on Saturday.
The Senators will be taking part in their first game action since Tuesday night, when they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second time in two tries. Ottawa has already confirmed that Craig Anderson will start in the crease for the home squad. Head coach Guy Boucher has indicated that Anderson could play the entire 60 minutes.
Among Senators veterans to suit up against the Canadiens are Bobby Ryan, Mark Stone and Mike Hoffman. Thomas Chabot and Logan Brown, both attempting to start the year in the NHL, will have another chance to prove their worth.
