Dominique Ducharme's contingent is coming off an 8-2 loss to the Wild earlier this week in Saint Paul to close out a 15-day trek that also included stops in Boston, Chicago, Glendale, Dallas, Las Vegas and Denver.
The Habs were 1-3-3 on the trip, collecting five out of a possible 14 points.
While Paul Byron and Brendan Gallagher were back at practice on Wednesday, Ducharme confirmed that they won't be available against Anaheim.
Jonathan Drouin is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury and Christian Dvorak is day-to-day as he continues to follow the return-to-play protocol.
This morning, Ducharme confirmed that Lukas Vejdemo will take Dvorak's spot in the lineup.
Goaltender Cayden Primeau will start again, while Sam Montembeault will return this weekend.
Winger Mike Hoffman is looking to extend his point streak to four consecutive games.
He has three points (2 goals, 1 assist) during the stretch, including this early blast versus Minnesota.

The Ducks' two-game winning streak was snapped by the Maple Leafs last night with a 4-3 shootout defeat in Toronto.
Dallas Eakins' squad surrendered three power play goals in regulation before Auston Matthews scored the deciding tally on goaltender John Gibson, who made 41 saves.
Sam Steel, Jakob Silfverberg and Vinni Lettieri lit the lamp for Anaheim.
Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 23 goals and 37 points this season, while Trevor Zegras ranks second in both offensive categories with 10 goals and 30 points.
A few former Habs return to the Bell Centre, including Nicolas Deslauriers and Greg Pateryn.
This is the second and final meeting between the two teams this year.
The Ducks posted a 4-2 victory on October 31 in Southern California.
