MONTREAL - The Washington Capitals are in Montreal for their final game against the Habs this season on LGBTQ+ night.

It will be the second game in as many nights for the Canadiens, who suffered a 3-0 loss to the New York Islanders on Friday.
Friday's game also marked the highly-anticipated return of Carey Price to the lineup, giving the Bell Centre crowd plenty of opportunities to shower him with cheers throughout the night. It was the All-World netminder's first time back between the pipes since he led the Habs to the Stanley Cup Finals last July, having undergone a knee surgery in the offseason.

The Canadiens also paid tribute to Islanders legend Mike Bossy before the game. Bossy passed away on Thursday night surrounded by family after a battle with lung cancer. The 65-year-old Laval native won four Stanley Cups with the Isles from 1980 to 1983, amassing an impressive 573 goals and 1,126 points in 752 career NHL games.

Price wasn't able to skate away with a W in his return, as Zach Parise broke the deadlock on a 3-on-0 rush early in the third. Mathew Barack and Kieffer Bellow assisted on the play.
Noah Dobson doubled the visitors' lead 6:09 into the final frame with a wrister from the faceoff circle. Brock Nelson picked up an assist on the goal before scoring into an empty net to cement the 3-0 victory.
Ilya Sorokin stopped all 44 Habs shots he faced in the outing to register his seventh shutout of the campaign.
Price was nonetheless pleased to be back in his familiar blue paint in front of the Bell Centre faithful for the first time in nine months.

For his part, head coach Martin St-Louis was encouraged by what he saw from his starter.

St-Louis confirmed a few lineup changes during his pregame media op on Saturday, notably that Tyler Pitlick will be back in action in place of Paul Byron and Samuel Montembeault will get the start against the Caps.
The Caps are riding into town with a stellar record of five wins and one loss in their last six games, having dropped their most recent outing in a 7-3 L to the Maple Leafs on Thursday night.
John Carlson, Tom Wilson, and Nic Dowd scored in the loss to the Buds, while Michael Bunting, William Nylander, Ilya Mikheyev and Ilya Lyubushkin lit the lamp for the Leafs.
Ilya Samsonov stopped 15 of the 19 shots he faced before being replaced between the pipes by Vitek Vanecek in the second period. Vanecek made 10 saves during his night's work.
The Canadiens will need to keep an eye on a few key Washington snipers on Saturday, including Alexander Ovechkin, who could very well finish the season with 50 or more goals for a ninth time in his career. The Caps' captain has 46 goals and 39 assists to date, giving him the team lead with 85 points.
Evgeny Kuznetsov, John Carlson, and Tom Wilson trail Ovechkin in that category with 72, 66, and 52 points, respectively.
The Capitals will be without the services of Carl Hagelin, who suffered an eye injury at the beginning of March. Joe Snively (upper body) and Dmitry Orlov (lower body) will also be sidelined on Saturday.
Washington is currently sitting in the final wildcard position in the East with 92 points, far ahead of the Islanders who trail them with 79 points.
The Caps won the most recent game against Montreal with a 5-2 victory over the Habs on February 10.
