- The Canadiens skated in Brossard on Thursday morning ahead of the evening’s match against the Ottawa Senators, the final game in the pre-season schedule. Players who took part in Wednesday night’s match were given the day off.

- Douglas Murray was back at practice, wearing a red full-contact jersey. He had been absent for the past week with a lower-body injury.

- Only 13 skaters and both goalies took part in the practice: Forwards Tomas Plekanec, Brian Gionta, Daniel Brière, George Parros, Rene Bourque, Max Pacioretty, Gabriel Dumont and David Desharnais. On defense were Josh Gorges, Andrei Markov, Douglas Murray, P.K. Subban and Francis Bouillon
