- After picking up their fourth win in five games on Thursday night, the Canadiens practiced at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Friday. Michel Therrien’s troops will be back in action on Saturday night when they play host to the Colorado Avalanche at the Bell Centre.
- For their part, the Avalanche also practiced in Brossard on Friday. Patrick Roy’s contingent is coming off a 5-3 loss in Ottawa on Thursday night.

- Head coach Michel Therrien confirmed that Carey Price will get the start against the Avalanche on Saturday night. Price holds a 1-2-1 record, a 3.47 goals-against average and a .872 save percentage in four career outings against Colorado.
- The Canadiens’ bench boss also weighed in on Milan Lucic’s offensive gestures in the latter stages of the tilt against the Bruins on Thursday night. The Bruins forward was fined $5,000 for his actions by the league.
“Honestly, I didn’t see the gesture. I heard people talking about it this morning. The league dealt with it. I think they did the right thing,” offered Therrien. “As members of a professional team, athletes need to respect the fans and respect the game. That’s important for us. Respect and staying humble. It’s never happened with one of our players, and I don’t see it ever happening.”
