- The Canadiens hit the ice at Amalie Arena in Tampa on Sunday afternoon for a practice session ahead of their Monday night tilt against the Lightning.

- After leaving Saturday night’s game against the Islanders with an upper-body injury, Torrey Mitchell did not take part in Sunday afternoon’s practice. Head coach Michel Therrien indicated that Mitchell would not be in the lineup on Monday and that Brian Flynn would take his spot.

- The Canadiens’ bench boss also confirmed that Carey Price will get the start in goal on Monday night. It will be his 57th start of the season.
