Practice - January 11

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

- After a day off on Sunday, the Canadiens returned to practice on Monday morning, hitting the ice outdoors at Parc Emile in Laval to help celebrate the unveiling of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation’s seventh multipurpose and refrigerated community rink as part of the BLEU BLANC BOUGE program.

- The players kept things relatively light during the on-ice session, braving the cold to play some on-ice baseball and spending some quality time enjoying the new rink.

- To mark the official opening, a group of 40 children from Leon-Guilbault Elementary School took to the ice and were joined by Michel Therrien’s troops.

- The Canadiens still have two more practice days remaining before returning to action on Thursday night against the Chicago Blackhawks at the Bell Centre.
