Practice - February 19

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

BROSSARD – While several of their teammates were in action in Sochi, the Canadiens held a practice at the Bell Sports Complex, the team’s first since the start of the Olympic break.

A few special guests were on hand to fill in for the regulars at practice. Former assistant captain Patrice Brisebois slots in on defense. Strength coach Pierre Allard filled in up front, and Jocelyn Thibault suited up in a Canadiens uniform for the first time in 15 years.

Among the absents were Davis Drewiske, who missed out on practice due to family reasons, and Michael Bournival, who is having concussion-related symptoms.

Alex Galchenyuk, on the comeback trail from a hand injury, skated alongside his teammates for the first time in over six weeks.
