Numbers-NJD

MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at Thursday night's tilt between the New Jersey Devils and Canadiens at the Bell Centre.

100- Thursday night's game against the Devils was Andrew Shaw's 100th in a Habs uniform. The native of Belleville, ON was acquired in a trade with the Blackhawks in June 2016. His first game as a Canadien was a 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres last October, in which Shaw recorded a goal and 10 penalty minutes.
1 - With his assist on Shaw's first-period equalizer, Phillip Danault tied Brendan Gallagher as the team's leading scorer. Danault now has 19 points (6G, 13A) in 32 games.
4 - Number of shots on net registered by defenseman Jordie Benn in the first period alone.
8 - With his eighth goal of the season, Shaw joined Max Pacioretty in a tie as the Habs' third-best goal-scorer, behind Brendan Gallagher (13) and Paul Byron (9).
31 - After being pulled in the Habs' 6-2 loss to the Oilers on Saturday, Carey Price rebounded with a stellar effort against New Jersey. The 30-year-old netminder made 31 saves on Thursday night.
19 - The Canadiens played their final home game of 2017 on Thursday. With their next seven games set to be played on the road, there will be a 19-day gap before the Habs play in front of their fans again. That will happen on January 2, when the San Jose Sharks come to town
