2 - Number of Edmonton natives in the Canadiens' lineup on Tuesday night, including assistant captain Brendan Gallagher and defenseman David Schlemko, both of whom were born in the City of Champions. No doubt suiting up in front of friends and family made the tilt extra special for the pair, as Claude Julien's contingent made its lone regular season visit to the Alberta capital. It was the 399th game of Schlemko's career.
2 - Number of times so far this season that goaltender Antti Niemi has started back-to-back games for the Canadiens, as Julien elected to feature the 35-year-old Finn in between the pipes on Tuesday night to begin the three-game Western Canada road trip. Niemi, who backstopped the Canadiens to a win over the Vegas Golden Knights last Saturday night at the Bell Centre, previously made consecutive starts in mid-October.
7- Max Domi extended his points streak to seven straight games during the first period on Tuesday night by scoring his 10th goal of the 2018-19 campaign. Domi, who tied things up 1-1 with his tally on Oilers starter Mikko Koskinen at the 5:45 mark, became the first Habs player to hit double-digits in the goal-scoring department so far this year.
