MONTREAL - Here is a numerical look at Saturday night's game against the Colorado Avalanche at the Bell Centre.

40 - The Canadiens celerated Youppi!'s milestone 40th birthday on Saturday night. Youppi! won't officially ring in the big 4-0 until Apr. 13, but the team wanted to help fête the lovable orange furball during the regular season, splitting the difference between the dates of his two major league sports debuts to settle on Jan. 12 as the big day. Youppi! is the lone mascot to ever represent two major pro sports teams - the Habs and the Montreal Expos.

It was a short-handed tally that beat Avalanche starter Semyon Varlamov from the point to put the Canadiens up 1-0. It also was the first short-handed goal of Kulak's career. Phillip Danault picked up his 22nd helper of the season on the play.

2:18 - Time elapsed in between Kulak's goal and a marker by Jesperi Kotkaniemi that put the Canadiens up by a pair at the 10:39 mark of the frame. That snapped a 12-game goal drought for the 18-year-old Finn, who now has five goals on the year. Jonathan Drouin and Mike Reilly picked up the assists on the play.
