DALLAS - Here's a numerical look at Wednesday night's game between the Canadiens and Stars at American Airlines Center.

997 - Due to a lower-body injury, Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn was forced to miss his first game since April 13, 2014 on Wednesday night. He hadn't missed a game in 997 days, having taken part in 284 of the Stars' previous 285 games.

31 - Number of games Bobby Farnham played with the AHL's St. John's IceCaps so far this season before making his Canadiens debut on Wednesday night in Dallas. Farnham took Chris Terry's spot in the lineup.

29 - Number of shots the Canadiens and Stars combined to generate during the opening frame on Wednesday night, as both teams did their best to put opposing netminders Al Montoya and Kari Lehtonen to the test. Dallas generated 15 shots, while Montreal had 14 of their own.
