Even after the NHL season ends, hockey season continues year-round in Quebec.

Case in point: while the world's fastest cars were tearing up the streets in downtown Montreal during a sweltering F1 weekend, Phillip Danault took to the streets of his native Victoriaville to pop in on a surprise game of road hockey.
And he left some local kids looking happier than Lewis Hamilton atop the podium at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Not to mention at least one enthusiastic dad who couldn't help grabbing a stick and getting in on the action himself.
Luckily, Danault's own dad -- Alain -- was also there to capture the moment home-video style, in a video posted to his YouTube channel over the weekend. Watch it below:

Earlier in May meanwhile, the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation helped organize a ball hockey tournament in the city raising over $260,000 for local youth.
