MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Saturday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract (2021-22) with forward Lukas Vejdemo.

The agreement, which carries a $750,000 value at the NHL level, guarantees $215,000 to Vejdemo. He is set to make $175,000 at the AHL level.
Vejdemo, 25, tallied 13 points (7 goals, 6 assists) in 27 games with the Laval Rocket in 2020-21. He also added two goals and eight assists in 16 games with Sodertalje in the SEL before coming to North America for the beginning of the Rocket season.
Vejdemo has amassed 29 goals and 32 assists in 140 career AHL games. The Swede also recorded one goal in seven games with the Canadiens in the NHL.
Vejdemo was selected by Montreal in the third round, 87th overall at the 2015 NHL Draft.
