Olympic recap - February 21

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

All eyes on Planet Hockey were focused squarely on the much-anticipated tilt between Team Canada and Team USA. The winner of the 2010 Olympic final re-match would face Sweden for the chance to win gold at 7AM Eastern Time, Sunday morning.

Carey Price was perfect for Canada, stopping all 31 shots faced and earning his first career Olympic shutout. In four games since the start of the Winter Games, the Anahim Lake native has only allowed three goals.

Jamie Benn scored the lone goal on the game, tipping home a Jay Bouwmeester slap pass behind Team USA netminder Jonathan Quick in the second period.

Max Pacioretty and his teammates must now take on Finland in a bronze medal game, which will take place at 10AM on Saturday. Against Canada, Pacioretty had two shots on net in 10:27 of play.
