by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
RUSSIA 1-0 SLOVAKIA (Shootout)

Andrei Markov led his side in ice time for the second straight game, logging 21:39 in a game which went scoreless all the way through regulation and a five-minute overtime period. Markov had a team-high six shots on goal, tied with Alex Ovechkin.

The Russians avenged Saturday's shootout loss against Team USA, going two-for-two against the Slovakian netminder while not conceding a goal.

Alexei Emelin, playing alongside Evgeni Medvedev, played 12:30 for the Russians. Peter Budaj was not in uniform for Slovakia, who started Jan Laco in lieu of Jaroslav Halak.

Team USA continued its domination of Group by going a perfect 3-0 in its round-robin matchups. After beating Russia in a shootout 24 hours prior, the team dismissed the Slovenes 5-1.
Max Pacioretty did not dress, and was replaced in the lineup by Derek Stepan.

CANADA 2-1 FINLAND (Overtime)

Minutes after Carey Price made a game-saving overtime stop on Sami Salo, Drew Doughty skated down the left wing and put the puck through Tuukka Rask's pads to put Canada on top against Finland in the teams' final round-robin game. Price made 14 saves on 15 shots, while Canada had 27 shots in the tight-checking affaire.

P.K. Subban did not dress for Canada.
