by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at the Habs-Panthers game at the Bell Centre on Saturday night.

184 – Number of days that have passed since Andrei Markov last suited up for the Canadiens. He was injured in the first game of Montreal’s second-round playoff series against the Pittsburgh Penguins which they would eventually win in seven games.

10 – Number of regular-season games Brian Gionta has played as captain of the Montreal Canadiens without having both his assistant-captains present. That changed tonight as Andrei Markov made his first appearance of the 2010-11 season.

3 – Number of different uniforms worn by Christopher Higgins since his last game as a Hab on April 22, 2009, playing for the Rangers, Flames and Panthers in that span.

4 – Number of Panthers in the lineup on Saturday who played under Jacques Martin on his last day as Florida’s bench boss, including Bryan Allen, David Booth, Radek Dvorak and Rotislav Olesz.

2 – Consecutive number of games in which a penalty shot has been awarded at the Bell Centre, with David Booth cashing in on his latest attempt in the second period.

3 – Number of times Booth has been awarded a penalty shot in his career, scoring on two of those opportunities.

20 – Number of times the Canadiens have finished the month of October with at least 15 points in the standings, doing so again this season for the first time since the 2008-09 season.

7 – Game-high number of hits thrown by Maxim Lapierre in the contest, bringing his season total to a team-leading 30 so far this year.
