BUFFALO - Here's a numerical look at the showdown between the Habs and the Sabres at the HSBC Arena on Friday night.

40 – Number of years to the day that the Buffalo Sabres played their first game in the NHL. They lost the game by a score of 3-0 on Oct. 15, 1970.
