by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
SUNRISE -- Here's a numerical look at the Canadiens-Panthers game at BankAtlantic Centrer on Thursday night.

427 – Number of days Hal Gill had to wait between scoring his last goal – December 31, 2009 against Florida, before finding the back of the net again on Thursday night against the Panthers.

Highlights Canadiens - Panthers
2 – Number of shots needed by the Habs before Gill beat Tomas Vokoun to open the scoring.

3 – Number of shots needed by the Canadiens to chase Vokoun from his net, with the Panthers’ netminder hitting the showers early after giving up two goals on three shots.

5 – Consecutive number of games in which Andrei Kostitsyn has registered at least one point, adding a goal and assist against the Panthers to bring his total to seven points in that span.

6 – Team-high number of shots fired by Tomas Plekanec in the outing, bringing his season total to 196 shots on the year.

4 – Number of Habs who enjoyed multi-point nights against Florida, with Kostitsyn, James Wisniewski, Travis Moen and Lars Eller all picking up two points in the contest.

21 – Number of points racked up by Wisniewski in 25 games since joining the Habs in December after picking up the same number of points in 32 outings with the Islanders in the first half of the year.

2 – Number of posts hit in a 60-second span in the third period, with Max Pacioretty and Kostitsyn coming within inches of giving the Habs a 6-0 lead in a single shift.

7 – Number of shutouts posted by Habs netminder Carey Price in 2010-11, making the Panthers the latest victim of his stinginess on Thursday night.
