A look at the first of two back-to-back match-ups between Hamilton and Syracuse and it’s clear the Bulldogs will need to make a few adjustments if they hope to bounce back against the Crunch Friday night at the Bell Centre. Following a scoreless opening frame, the Crunch turned up the heat in the second, beating goaltender Robert Mayer on two occasions. The Crunch’s Richard Panik ultimately put the nail in the Bulldogs’ coffin, slipping the puck into an empty net at the end of the third period to give his team the 3-0 victory. Despite the loss, Hamilton goaltender, Mayer, was awarded the game’s second star after turning aside 30 of the Crunch’s 32 shots on the night.
