Nikita Scherbak called up from Laval

Scherbak has three points in nine games with the Canadiens this season

BROSSARD -- The Canadiens called up forward Nikita Scherbak from the AHL's Laval Rocket on Monday.

The 22-year-old forward will return for a third stint with the big club this season, having previously registered a goal and two assists in nine games with the Habs.
Scherbak was last reassigned to Laval on Feb. 19, coinciding with Phillip Danault's return to action for Montreal. He'll join the team on Monday, but should not be in uniform against the Flyers.
