Nikita Scherbak called up from Laval Rocket

The 22-year-old forward will be available for both games this weekend

MONTREAL -- The Canadiens called up forward Nikita Scherbak from the AHL's Laval Rocket on Friday evening.

The 22-year-old played two games with the big club at the start of the season, prior to suffering a knee injury, but was held off the scoresheet on both occasions.
In 24 games with the Rocket in 2017-18, the Habs' first round pick from 2014 has registered 30 points, including seven goals.
