MONTREAL - The Canadiens will be picking 15th in the opening round of the 2019 NHL Draft on June 21 in Vancouver.
The news was confirmed via Tuesday night's NHL Draft Lottery, which was held in Toronto.
The Habs have previously selected 15th overall on three occasions, choosing forwards Mark Pederson (1986), Pierre Mondou (1975) and Gord McTavish (1974).
The New Jersey Devils own the top pick in June. The New York Rangers will select second, while the Chicago Blackhawks will pick third.
The Canadiens entered the NHL Draft Lottery in the No. 15 position.
Marc Bergevin's squad currently boasts 10 selections in British Columbia. In addition to their first-round pick, the Habs also own two picks in Round 2, one pick in Round 3, one pick in Round 4, three picks in Round 5, one in Round 6 and one in Round 7.
