HENRIK SEDIN - C - 1999
Former Vancouver Canucks general manager Brian Burke had to engage in some creative maneuvering in order to select both Daniel and Henrik Sedin at the 1999 NHL Draft, but the work paid off. After his brother Daniel was taken second overall, Henrik became the Canucks' third overall pick and would go on to play 17 seasons in British Columbia. Vancouver's captain since 2010-11, Henrik Sedin led the Canucks to 11 playoff appearances, including a trip to the 2011 Stanley Cup Final where they would lose to the Boston Bruins in seven games. Sedin, who announced he would be retiring following the 2017-18 season, is the Canucks' all-time points leader with 1,070 (240G, 830A) and also holds Vancouver's single-season points record with 112 (29G, 83A), set in 2009-10.
MARIAN GABORIK - RW - 2000
The Minnesota Wild's first-ever selection in franchise history, Gaborik's 219 goals in the State of Hockey still stand as a team record. He also holds the club record for most points in a season with 83 in 2007-08, and his 42 goals that year are tied with Eric Staal for a single-season high. Gaborik has played 17 seasons in the NHL with the Wild, New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Los Angeles Kings, and Ottawa Senators, and has 815 points (407G, 408A) in 1,035 games.
OLLI JOKINEN - C - 1997
Finnish center Olli Jokinen was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in 1997, though he would only play parts of two seasons in California. His longest stint was with the Florida Panthers, where he would spend seven seasons. Jokinen served as captain of the Cats from 2003-04 until 2007-08, and is Florida's all-time points (419) and goals (188) leader. In a 17-year career with the Kings, New York Islanders, Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes, New York Rangers, Jets, Nashville Predators, Toronto Maple Leafs, and St. Louis Blues, Jokinen collected 750 points (321G, 429A) in 1,231 games.
