News - March 30

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

- Following their 4-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings, the Canadiens didn't practice on Wednesday morning before boarding a charter flight to Tampa where they'll play the Lightning on Thursday night. Twenty-six players made the trip, including five injured players - Carey Price, Brendan Gallagher, Brian Flynn, Daniel Carr and P.K. Subban.

- Goaltender Charlie Lindgren, who the Canadiens signed to a two-year contract on Wednesday morning, also accompanied the team to Florida. He passed all of his medical tests and his equipment was approved by league officials, too. Lindgren will sport No. 35.

- To make room for Lindgren on the roster, Ben Scrivens will be placed on waivers at noon and will not accompany the team to the Sunshine State.
