MONTREAL – It wasn’t even close.
That’s the best way to describe just how big a margin of victory the Canadiens managed to string together over the Vancouver Canucks in their friendly Movember competition this time around.
The Canadiens’ “Group of 4” consisting of Brendan Gallagher, Carey Price, P.K. Subban, and Mike Weaver, collected just under $2,900 during the month of November in support of the fight against prostate and testicular cancer, and mental health concerns. For their part, the Canucks’ contingent of Nick Bonino, Shawn Matthias, Eddie Lack and Ryan Miller, collected about $1,550.
The Canucks paid their debt to the winners on Monday, posting a “Go Habs Go” photograph on their social media accounts.
As it stands, the Montreal Canadiens raised over $47,000 as a group for the very worthy cause.
