Medical update on Michael McCarron

The 23-year-old forward will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens announced that forward Michael McCarron underwent surgery on Wednesday on his left shoulder and will miss the remainder of the season.

In 32 games with the AHL's Laval Rocket this season, the 23-year-old forward registered seven goals and 21 points.
In 69 career games with the Canadiens, McCarron has two goals and eight points.
He was selected 25th overall by the Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Draft.
