Men at work

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

Tagged as the Canadiens’ official No.1 netminder last summer, Carey Price took his duties as the Habs’ starting goalie to heart in 2010-11. The 23-year-old netminder took part in 72 of the team’s 82 regular season games, patrolling the crease for the Canadiens for a grand total of 4,206 minutes. In the process, Price broke the previous franchise records of 70 games and 4,200 minutes shared by Gerry McNeil and Jacques Plante.

Thanks in part to his increased workload, Price set a few other records this season, including most shots faced (2,147) and most saves (1,982).
