MONTREAL - Forward Max Pacioretty is the Molson Cup recipient for the month of February (10 points). Pacioretty earns the Molson Cup award of the month for the second consecutive month and sixth time of his career (January 2012, November 2013, February-March 2014, December 2015 and January 2017).
Pacioretty was a first star selection three times (February 9 in Arizona, February 25 at Toronto and February 27 in New Jersey) and a third star selection once (February 11 against St. Louis). Pacioretty finished ahead of teammates Carey Price and Alexander Radulov.
In 13 games in February, the Canadiens captain had a 7-7-14 points total. The 28-year-old forward led the team and ranked tied for eighth in the NHL in goals. He had the most shots on the team with 51 (fourth in the NHL). Pacioretty added two goals and four points on the powerplay, leading the team in both categories. He reached the 30-goal plateau for the fifth time in his career on February 27 in New Jersey.
Max Pacioretty will be presented with the Molson Cup during a ceremony prior to the game on Thursday, March 2, against the Nashville Predators at the Bell Centre.
