Acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers in February 1995, Recchi played 346 games with the Canadiens between 1994-95 and 1998-99, registering 120 goals and 202 assists totalling 322 points. He added another 24 playoff points in 21 postseason games with the Habs.
Finishing among the team's top three point-getters during each of his seasons in Montreal, the Kamloops, B.C. native enjoyed his best offensive output in 1996-97, racking up 80 points - including 34 goals - in 82 games.
With a reputation as an NHL ironman, Recchi never missed a game in his years with the Canadiens. He was also named MVP at the 1997 All-Star Game after scoring a hat-trick in an Eastern Conference win.
Recchi becomes the 58th member of the Canadiens organization to be inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and the first since Rogie Vachon in 2016. The induction ceremony will be held on November 13, 2017 in Toronto.
