- A few hours after signing a three-year deal with the Canadiens, Patrick Holland continued his 15-game point streak by assisting on both of his team’s two goals in a 2-1 win for the Tri-City Americans on Wednesday night. Since February 10, the young Habs hopeful has scored four goals and registered 29 assists for a total of 33 points. 

- Randy Cunneyworth confirmed that Peter Budaj will get his 10th start of the season on Thursday night, looking to build on his 13-6-3 career record against the Oilers.

- All players were on the ice for the morning skate except Andrei Markov (flu) and Raphael Diaz (lower body), neither of whom will be in the lineup against Edmonton.
