- Jarred Tinordi registered an assist and finished with a plus-1 differential in the London Knights' 8-3 rout of the Windsor Spitfires Thursday night. With the win, the Knights completed their 4-0 series sweep to earn their way into the second round of the OHL playoffs.

- Mathieu Darche and Travis Moen were back on the ice with their teammates at Madison Square Garden, although both players were wearing blue no-contact jerseys and will not be available for Friday’s game.

- Tomas Kaberle has been cleared for contact and was back in his familiar white jersey at practice, but Randy Cunneyworth confirmed Kaberle would not be ready to play against the Rangers.

- Carey Price will get his 65th start of the season and 10th career start against New York on Friday night. In his only other game against the Rangers this year on November 17, Price registered stopped all 17 shots he faced to lead the Habs to a 4-0 win.
