Marc Denis assigned to Hamilton

MONTREAL  – The Montreal Canadiens announced Saturday that goaltender Marc Denis has been assigned to the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs.

Denis, recalled from the Bulldogs on Dec. 12 (emergency recall), dressed as backup to Jaroslav Halak for the last three Canadiens games.

Before being called up, Denis played in 19 of the Bulldogs’ 26 games, posting a 12-6 record with two shutouts, a 2.60 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. Denis was named the AHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 2, 2008, after recording three wins in as many starts and turning aside 96 of 99 shots fired at him.
