MONTREAL - Time is running out to register for the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation's inaugural BLEU BLANC BOUGE virtual run.
The initiative has already amassed $13,220 since it launched on June 22, but the Foundation hasn't yet hit its goal of having fans run a total of 2,044 km - the distance that connects its 13 BLEU BLANC BOUGE community rinks spread throughout Quebec.
Here's how you can help:
Registration fees and additional donations will be used to purchase 4,000 activity kits to be distributed to underprivileged children in eight communities where the Foundation has already built outdoor, multi-purpose rinks on the island of Montreal, in Laval, and in Longueuil.
They say you should be able to talk comfortably while running, so why not try to say "bleu blanc bouge" out loud to test if you're maintaining a good pace? Ask @BGALLY17 – it ain't that easy! 😂 pic.twitter.com/t8apEV1JbG
