MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced today that forward Joël Teasdale will out for a minimum of seven months due to a knee injury.

Joël suffered torn ligaments in his right knee (MCL and ACL) during an on-ice session in Boisbriand on August 12. Surgery will be required at a date to be determined. Joël and the Canadiens organization will not make any further comments at this time.
